VUKOVAR, Aug 17
(Hina) - After the City Statute was amended on
Monday, Vukovar Mayor Ivan Penava of the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ) told a press conference that the amendments, which were passed
by a majority vote, "provide maximum rights for members of the Serb
ethnic minority in Vukovar, if the facts and circumstances in that
town are taken into account."
