DUBROVNIK, July 23
(Hina) - The wildfire that broke out on the
southern Croatian island of Korcula several days ago has been put
under control, while rain that fell shortly before midnight on
Wednesday helped fire-fighters control the spreading of another fire
on the southern peninsula of Peljesac, spokesman for the
Dubrovnik-Neretva County Protection and Rescue Service told the press
on Wednesday evening.
