Crnadak confirmed to reporters that he talked with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Saturday, after the authorities in Belgrade sent a protest note over the attack on Vucic earlier in the day.
"We agreed that the incident would not affect the good relations between the two countries," Crnadak said, adding that this was also owing to the fact that the attack on Vucic had been condemned by the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels, including the state Presidency, and the demonstrated readiness to investigate the incident and find and punish the perpetrators.
So far there is no information on the perpetrators, Crnadak said, adding, "I expect those who did it to be found."
Crnadak said that Vucic in no way deserved what happened to him in Srebrenica because it was clear that he had gone there to pay respect to the innocent victims of the crime.
Crnadak's guest, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, condemned the attack as well.
The act by individuals who attacked Vucic cannot annul what prompted Vucic to visit Srebrenica and the way he did it, said Gentiloni, who was on a working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He said that it was very important that the attack was condemned by Srebrenica mothers as well as that Serbia had clearly shown that it would leave the door to cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina open.
Crnadak and Gentiloni described relations between their countries as very good, noting that they believed in the European prospect of the entire region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, which could only facilitate cooperation.
Italy believes that it is important to carry on with reforms despite obstacles on the political and other fronts. Reforms are the key to moving on, said the Italian official.
He recalled that Italy was Bosnia and Herzegovina's second most important trade partner, with annual trade amounting to some 1.3 billion euros, noting that there was room for further improvement.
Crnadak called Italy one of the pillars of the European Union, adding that the government in Rome was demonstrating clear support to the incumbent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"After a period of tension in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we are committed to restoring a positive atmosphere," said Crnadak.
He confirmed that security and the fight against terrorism and corruption would be an area of cooperation between the two countries.
Asked about the danger of radical Islamist terrorism in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Crnadak said that his country was ready to face that threat.
"I would not say that we are concerned, I would rather say that we are aware of the danger of terrorism in Bosnia and Herzegovina," he said, adding that his country was working on strengthening institutions in charge of anti-terrorist activities.
Gentiloni arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina also on the occasion of a concert to be held in Sarajevo by the ensemble of the La Scala opera house from Milan, which Crnadak described as "an informal start of celebrations of the 20 years of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Gentiloni said that it was an important cultural event and that despite all difficulties and the incident in Srebrenica, a message of peace and reconciliation should be sent from Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
