ZAGREB, July 9
(Hina) - Croatia's lawmakers on Thursday began
discussing the government-sponsored amendments to the Act on Local and
Regional Self-Government Units and to the Act on the Use of Ethnic
Minorities' Languages and Scripts, which would enable the dissolution
of local councils in towns and municipalities in the event of their
refusal to incorporate into local statutes regulations on the equal
use of languages and scripts of minorities.
