Split ready for Ultra Europe

SPLIT, July 5 (Hina) - The biggest Croatian Adriatic city of Split is ready for Ultra Europe, a festival of electronic music, which will begin on 9 July.

Over 150,000 visitors from some 140 countries and more than a hundred DJs are expected in Split's Poljud Stadium as well as at other venues on the islands of Hvar, Brac and Vis, according to the organisers and the city authorities who held a news conference this past Thursday.

In attendance at the news conference was Croatian Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin, who welcomed this event.

The festival will kick off with an Opening Party at the brand new Giraffage Palm Beach Club in Split.

The party will then move to the main event from July 10-12, where over 180,000 fans are expected to flock to the impressive Poljud Stadium in Split to witness some of dance music’s most in-demand acts, including Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell and Ingrosso, Carl Cox, The Chemical Brothers (Live), David Guetta, Hardwell, Knife Party, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Steve Angello, Tiësto and Zedd.

Following the festivities in Split, ULTRA Europe will then launch a one-off Yacht Regatta on July 13, which will transform Zlatini Rat Beach on the island of Brac into one of the coolest parties in Croatia this year.

The festival will close on July 15 at the Fort George site on the island of Vis.

The first edition of the festival was attended by 70,000 people, the second by 150,000 from over 80 countries.

The event is supported by the Croatian Tourism Ministry, the National Board of Tourism and the City of Split.
