ZAGREB, July 4
(Hina) - The attorney for Zoran Mamic, coach of the
Zagreb-based soccer club Dinamo arrested on suspicion of embezzlement
and tax fraud, said after his client was questioned by prosecutors in
Zagreb on Saturday afternoon, that the amount which Zoran Mamic and
his brother Zdravko Mamic are suspected of having syphoned from Dinamo
in collusion with tax collector Milan Pernar and a former Dinamo
director Damir Vrbanovic, now a senior official of the Croatian
Football Federation, "is a result of a wrong interpretation of
business documentation".
