ZAGREB, July 2
(Hina) - Representatives of the Pensioners' Union of
Croatia (SUH) sent a letter on Thursday to Croatian officials with an
appeal that the situation for pensioners be urgently improved with the
introduction of an extraordinary indexation of pensions because
retirees were rapidly becoming impoverished, stressing that Croatia
does not have a serious strategy in the fight against poverty of the
elderly.
