BELGRADE, June 26
(Hina) - The families and relatives of the Sotin
victims are shocked and dissatisfied with the Belgrade High Court's
verdict sentencing two of the five indicted members of local Serb-run
police forces and Territorial Defence units, charged with the murder
of 16 Croat civilians in Sotin, eastern Croatia, in late 1991, to 24
years in prison, while observers at the trial believe that the court
failed to impose punishment for command responsibility and the
political context of ethnic cleansing.
