The lowest overall prices in 2014 were noted in Bulgaria, 52% below the EU average, followed by Romania, Poland and Hungary, where prices ranged from 46% to 43% below the EU average, Eurostat's report released on Friday says.
Croatia's price level last year was 33% below the EU average.
The most expensive countries in the EU in 2014 were Denmark with price levels of 38% above the EU average. Other expensive countries include Sweden, Finland and Luxembourg, with price levels ranging from 20% to 30% above the EU average.
