ZAGREB, June 5
(Hina) - The anti-corruption agency USKOK has issued
an indictment against the mayor of the central Adriatic city of Zadar
and former Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) minister of maritime,
transport and infrastructure, Bozidar Kalmeta, charging him with
connecting people from his ministry, the Hrvatske Ceste (HC) road
operator and the Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) motorway operator for the
purpose of syphoning millions of kuna from the two state-owned
companies.
