There is no secret document as mentioned by Bild am Sonntag and no piece of information, including the chart published by the paper, is a secret, Breidhardt told reporters.
All the information is public and comes directly from the recommendations adopted by the Commission on May 13 and it was presented in this press conference room and is available online, she said.
She was asked to comment on Bild am Sonntag's claim on Sunday, which cited a recent European Commission report, that the situation in Croatia had deteriorated dramatically and that it was facing bankruptcy like Greece.
Breidhardt recalled that the Commission published recommendations for each member state on May 13, including Croatia. The recommendations for Croatia refer to public finance, the pension and health care systems, taxes, salary alignment with productivity, the labour market, judicial system quality and dealing with non-performing loans.
She recalled that European Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis would visit Zagreb on Friday as part of a tour of member states with regard to the European Semester.
