Croatian head of state to travel to Brussels and meet top EU, NATO officials

ZAGREB, April 28 (Hina) - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is scheduled to visit Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday, for the first time since she stepped into office, and hold talks with top European Union and NATO officials, the Office of the Croatian President reported on Tuesday.

The official part of Grabar-Kitarovic's visit will begin in the NATO headquarters with talks with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

Before getting elected as Croatia's president, Grabar-Kitarovic was NATO Assistant Secretary General for public diplomacy.

On Wednesday she is also set to hold talks with European Council President Donald Tusk. On Thursday, Grabar-Kitarovic is expected to meet European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and visit Croatia's Permanent Representation to the European Union, the statement said.
