The just discovered ninth opera of the legendary Croatian composer is based on a libretto by Paul Struck. Twenty-five years after Papandopulo's death, the opera brought together on stage more than 250 students of four Zagreb University schools - the Academy of Dramatic Art, the Academy of Music, the Academy of Fine Arts, and the Faculty of Textile Technology.
The relatively short performance, lasting only 55 minutes, was conducted by Mladen Tarbuk.
The 28th Music Biennale Zagreb, which is to last until April 25, features 40 concerts and music performances to be held at several venues in Zagreb, including 35 premieres, and concerts by three symphonic orchestras and 11 chamber music ensembles.
