Dutch police warns Bosnia about terrorist attack

MOSTAR, March 15 (Hina) - The Dutch police counter-terrorism unit has warned the Bosnian authorities about the possibility of a terrorist attack in Sweden and Denmark to have been carried out by five persons arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, Bosnian media said on Saturday, refuting Swedish authorities' claims that this was not a case of terrorist threats.The Dutch police counter-terrorism unit has warned the Bosnian authorities about the possibility of a terrorist attack in Sweden and Denmark to have been carried out by five persons arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, Bosnian media said on Saturday, refuting Swedish authorities' claims that this was not a case of terrorist threats. After the Swedish authorities denied Bosnian state police agency SIPA's claims that this was about terrorist activities, saying it was about a showdown between gangs, an Interpol memo was leaked to the Bosnian media with a request by the Dutch police counter-terrorism unit for monitoring persons suspected of preparing a terrorist attack. The Klix web portal highlighted the memo's details on the delivery of explosive devices ordered by a Dutch citizen of Bosnian origin, and said the Dutch police believed the devices would be used for a terror attack in Sweden or Denmark. Interpol requested information on Adis Ramic, who was to have delivered the devices in Sarajevo, as well as on an acquaintance of his from the Netherlands who ordered them. The memo said the two man apparently knew each other from before and were of Islamic origin. After this tip, SIPA agents arrested four Bosnian citizens, including Ramic, and one Swedish citizen of Arab origin at the Bosanski Brod border crossing and in Sarajevo on Friday.
