DUBROVNIK, March 12
(Hina) - The president of the Dubrovnik branch
of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Marko Frankovic, who is
running up against the former mayor in a local election, warned on
Thursday that the city and companies owned by the city could be left
without funding from the European Union if Andro Vlahusic of the
Croatian People's Party (HNS), convicted of abuse of office, was
re-elected as mayor.
