The Croatian factory and its Russian partners have concluded a five-year contract to provide three million fish cans annually for the Russian market, and the potential of that market for Sardina is three times greater, the company board member and a co-owner, Davor Gabela, told Hina on Wednesday.
According to Gabela, Sardina may boost its exports to Russia to ten million cans annually in the coming years.
Gabela said that under the current agreement, the business deal with its Russian partners will bring two million euros to the Croatian fish factory.
Sardina executives were included in a Croatian business delegation that attended a Russian-Croatian economic forum in Moscow on Tuesday.
Gabela commended the forum as a good thing and an example of how politicians and diplomats can help Croatian businesses enter foreign markets.
He said that Sardina had been already exporting its products to a score of countries.
In 2014, it delivered 20 million cans abroad, and this year it plans to increase its exports to 40 million cans.
