The imports increased 2.4% y-o-y to 22.6 billion euro.
As a result, Slovenia's import coverage ratio was 101.7% last year, with a foreign trade surplus being 394 million euros.
The main destinations for Slovenia's exports were Croatia, Germany, Italy and Austria.
On the other hand, the most imported commodities were from Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, South Korea and China.
Growing exports and successful absorption of EU funds have been perceived by economic analysts as the main generators of Slovenia's recovery in 2014, after the long-running recession.
The country's GDP is estimated to have reached 2.5% in 2014.
