The Chinese artists will perform at Zagreb's Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall on Saturday. After Zagreb, one of China's best and most influential acrobatic troupes and theatre production companies will perform at the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka on February 9, and two days later, it will visit Porec for a performance at the town's 'Veli Joze' sports and recreational centre.
The troupe consists of more than 300 superb acrobatic artists and close to 40 are taking part in the Croatian tour.
Established in 1951, the Dalian Acrobatic Troupe has been one of the main promoters of Chinese culture abroad. It has performed in more than 60 countries and has won around 200 national and international awards.
Chinese New Year is celebrated in January or February and this year it will begin on February 18. Chinese New Year 2015 is the Year of the Sheep according to Chinese zodiac.
The celebration of Chinese New Year in Croatia has been organised by the China Federation or Literary and Art Circles, the Chinese Embassy and the cities of Zagreb, Rijeka and Porec.
