BRUSSELS, Feb 5
(Hina) - The budget deficit in Croatia continues to
be far above the targets set in the Excessive Deficit Procedure (EDP),
although in the European Commission's winter forecast it is somewhat
lower than in the autumn forecast, which is why the Commission will
ask Croatia to step up fiscal consolidation efforts, Economic and
Financial Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici said on Thursday.
