ZAGREB, Jan 16
(Hina) - The Croatian government is conducting the
process of oil and gas exploration in the Adriatic in a
non-transparent manner and contrary to an EU directive of 2013,
adopted after an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and contrary to the
Aarhus Convention, which requires that the public be acquainted with
the entire procedure and environmental impact before the award of
concessions, a member of the European Parliament from the Croatian
environmental party ORaH said on Friday.
