EUR 72M wind park to be built in Split hinterland

ZAGREB, Nov 27 (Hina) - Austria's Erste Group Bank AG and Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank Croatia, together with Splitska Banka and the French Societe Generale, have approved a 47-million-euro 14-year loan to the Croatian investment and development group SN Holding/FEH Ulaganja d.o.o. for investment into a future wind farm in Ogorje in the hinterland of the biggest Croatian coastal city of Split, Erste Bank reported.

The future wind park will consist of 14 turbines, each of them with 3-megawatt power, and the total investment is estimated at over 72 million euros.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015 and the wind farm is to generate 42MW of renewable energy, providing 27,000 households with electricity.

EKF, Denmark's Export Credit Agency, has approved a guarantee in the amount of 80% of the project value.

The project is supported by Akuo Energy, a leading independent renewables producer in France, and FEH Ulaganja.
