The EUROFusion consortium comprises 27 European countries, including Croatia thanks to the Rudjer Boskovic Institute (IRB) and scientists with the Croatian fusion research unit.
EUROfusion will manage European research activities in the field of fusion on behalf of the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) and its purpose is to ensure significant progress in the realisation of fusion energy. This joint programme will have a budget of as much as 850 million euros over the 2014-2018 period, nearly half of which will come from the Horizon 2020 programme, the IRB said in a press release on Friday.
