Croatian construction company lands HRK 24 mln deal in Algeria

ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based construction company Ingra and the Algerian state-owned construction company Cosider Travaux Publics have signed a 24 million kuna contract for the delivery and instalment of hydromechanical equipment for the L'Ouldjet Mellegue dam.

The contract has been signed during an ongoing visit of an Ingra delegation to Algeria.

Ingra officials have also held talks with leading officials of Algerian state institutions on possible new business deals in the construction, energy and trade sectors, Ingra has said.

Ingra and Cosider Travaux Publics, the most important Algerian company and one of the biggest in Africa, have cooperated together with the Algerian State Agency for Water Resources for more than 20 years.

They are currently implementing a contract for the Tagharist dam worth HRK 22 million.

Ingra has been active on the Algerian market for almost 40 years, having made investments worth more than EUR 700 million. The value of its current and newly agreed contracts is EUR 94 million, the company has said.
