Attending the opening of the exhibition were also Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and Danish Ambassador Poul Erik Dam Kristensen.
The travelling exhibition, which has the subtitle "Visions for A City in Motion", deals with the phenomenon of bicycle in the context of healthy lifestyles and sustainable development.
The exhibition features posters and photographs made in the Danish capital Copenhagen, bearing witness to local residents' notions about the phenomenon of cycling, and in Koprivnica, which has become a pioneer in Croatia in the promotion of cycling culture, which has earned it the name A City of Bicycles.
Koprivnica is developing the culture of cycling by following Copenhagen's example, it was said at the event.
Danish Ambassador Kristensen said he was glad the cooperation with Koprivnica had been growing closer and closer, adding that the exhibition was an introduction into a visit to Koprivnica by the Danish royal couple, Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik, who will be visiting Croatia on October 21-24.
The royal couple will visit the Koprivnica city administration and big Danish-owned companies operating in the town, Carlsberg and Hartmann.
President Josipovic and other guests at the exhibition were also acquainted with the local EU-financed project BicKo, as part of which the town has been given about 200 modern bicycles for public use.
