ZAGREB, July 10
(Hina) - Leaders of the political parties making up
the Alliance for Croatia on Thursday called on the Ministry of the
Interior to ban commemorations of the 27 July 1941 uprising in Srb,
which are organised by the Serb National Council (SNV), claiming that
they constituted an unacceptable and undemocratic glorification of
World War II ethnic cleansing and genocide against the non-Serb
population in the eastern Lika region of Croatia and in southwestern
Bosnia.
