LJUBLJANA, June 19
(Hina) - There is not legal alternative to the
sale of Slovenia's biggest retailer, Mercator, to Croatia's
privately-held concern Agrokor and the merging of Konzum and Mercator
retailers and this is a good opportunity for the stabilisation of
Mercator, said Gilles Mettetal, the head of the Agricultural and Food
Industry Departments with the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD), on Thursday.
