LJUBLJANA, June 2
(Hina) - A contract regulating the purchase of
Slovenia's retail chain Mercator by Agrokor, the biggest Croatian
private food and retail concern, whereby the transaction of the
takeover of a 53.34% stake in Mercator should be finalised by 30 June,
is still in effect, although Agrokor missed a 31 May deadline for
reaching a deal with banks on restructuring Mercator's liabilities
towards those lenders, the current majority owners in Mercator stated
on Monday.
