ZAGREB, May 21
(Hina) - Sisak-Moslavina County Prefect Marina Lovric
Merzel, who is behind bars during an ongoing investigation launched by
Croatia's serious fraud office USKOK on suspicion that she committed
wrongdoings during her three terms as the head of that county, will
complain to the Constitutional Court as she insists that her human
rights have been violated with a court decision to extend her remand,
citing the fact that she is still in office, to which she was elected
at direct elections, as an aggravating circumstance.
