ZAGREB, May 19
(Hina) - Croatia, as a member of the European Union,
may apply for financial assistance from the EU Solidarity Fund to
repair the damage caused by severe flooding to infrastructure and
public and private buildings, and in order to help the population in
the flood-hit areas, Croatia may request humanitarian non-pecuniary
and expert assistance from the civil protection programme, the
spokesman for the European Commission Representation in Zagreb, Martin
Mayer, told the press on Monday.
