Ministry monitoring enforcement of defamation provision

ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - The Justice Ministry is monitoring the application of the Penal Code and its provisions regulating defamation and will work on amending this segment if the ministry finds it necessary, the Croatian government said in a press release on Monday evening, following a statement of the Croatian Journalists' Association (HND) that called on the authorities to urgently amend the Penal Code to decriminalise defamation.
