VINKOVCI, Feb 14
(Hina) - The Vinkovci-based association of
producers of "kulen", a flavored sausage made of minced pork
traditionally produced in eastern Croatia, on Friday submitted a
request to the Croatian Agriculture Ministry to initiate a procedure
within the European Union to award the Slavonian kulen (slavonski
kulen) a Protected Geographical Indication label.
