ZAGREB, Feb 13
(Hina) - There was no discontinuity at the operating
level in banks' business results in 2013, a decline of 2-3% was
recorded, and the significant drop in pretax profits was the result of
a sudden rise in loan loss provisions caused by overly optimistic
assessments of the banks' assets in recent years, which needed to be
changed, the Croatian National Bank (HNB) reported on Thursday.
