ZAGREB, Jan 15
(Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) members
of the parliamentary Committee on Information, Computerisation and
Media, Jasen Mesic and Suncana Glavak, said at a press conference in
Zagreb on Wednesday that the situation at the public broadcasting
corporation HRT was disastrous, noting that if HRT went ahead with its
plan to shut down 11 of its local bureaux it would cease to fulfil its
function as a public service.
