(Hina) - With a deadline expiring on Sunday midnight
for the collection of signatures for a petition to call a referendum
aimed at amending the legislative framework regulating the right of
national minorities on the use of their language and script, the civil
initiative 'Headquarters for the Defence of Vukovar' reported on
Sunday evening that according to a rough estimate they had collected a
sufficient number for the referendum. It is necessary to collect
450,000 signatures for the petition to be considered for further
procedure.
