Croatian parliament speaker says Croatia to support all of Bosnia's goals

ZEPCE, Oct 30 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Josip Leko on Wednesday visited Zepce in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that this was one of the most prosperous municipalities in the country and as such it deserved additional support.

"After talks in Sarajevo, Vares and Zepce I could say: Get to know Bosnia and Herzegovina to understand it and come to Zepce to believe in Bosnia and Herzegovina," Leko told reporters after talks with representatives of Zepce's municipal authorities.

Leko said Croatia had been helping Zepce in various ways and that this had contributed to the stabilisation of the municipality. Asked if the assistance would continue, he said it would, as would all-round cooperation with Bosnia.

"Croatia will help, as its vital interest and as it has already declared, all the goals set by Bosnia and Herzegovina, whether political goals such as accession to the European Union and NATO, or economic goals or projects such as Corridor Vc or the Adriatic-Ionian Motorway," said Leko.

Municipal head Mato Zovko thanked Leko for Croatia's support, saying his multiethnic community had solved all of its political issues and was now troubled by economic problems, notably unemployment.

Leko was on a two-day visit to Bosnia at the head of a parliamentary delegation which ended in Usora, a municipality with a majority Croat population.
