(Hina) - Parliamentary opposition parties seemed not
surprised by data on Croatia's budget deficit and public debt released
by Eurostat on Monday, saying they believed that the prospects of
Croatia being placed in the Excessive Deficit Procedure under European
Union rules was a consequence of absence of reforms and economic
recovery. They called for more retrenchment but disagreed on where
additional cutbacks could be made.
