Bosnian, Serbian premiers announce stronger relations

SARAJEVO, Sept 13 (Hina) - Bosnian Council of Ministers Chairman Vjekoslav Bevanda and Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said in Sarajevo on Friday the two countries would intensify relations and that the two governments would hold a joint session.

Speaking to the press, Dacic said the session would be held in Sarajevo in late November. "It should become a tradition in the years ahead."

He announced the possibility of intensifying economic cooperation through the establishment of joint ventures of Serbian and Bosnian companies to appear on third markets.

He said that despite all the differences, there were more things uniting Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina than those separating them.

Dacic called on other countries in the region, notably Croatia and Montenegro, to cooperate more closely. "Apart from the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the relations between Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro are crucial for the region."

Bevanda called Dacic "a true friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina." He hoped that Serbia's example and its accomplishments on the road to European Union membership would be a lesson to Bosnia to turn to the future.
