ZAGREB, July 14
(Hina) - A model of the monetisation of the public
debt incurred by the Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) and the Autoceste
Rijeka-Zagreb state motorway operators, as proposed by the cabinet of
Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, is being greeted with both support and
criticism, with proponents insisting that the high public debt must be
lowered, and critics warning that state property such motorways that
can generate lucrative income should remain under the state control.
