Croatian exports to Bosnia in the first five months of this year totalled EUR 389.4 million, accounting for 12.7% of Bosnian imports which totalled a little over EUR 3 billion.
This trend began in 1996 but EU countries have been gradually approaching Croatia's position, with Germany taking over the top exporter position in May, accounting for 11.2% of Bosnian imports.
German exports to Bosnia also declined, but only 1.8%. Slovenian exports to Bosnia dropped 3.7% and Serbian exports declined 3.2%.
In the first five months of 2013, Germany was Bosnia's principal export market, followed by Croatia. Bosnian companies exported EUR 276.7 million worth of goods to Germany in said period, accounting for 15.6% of all Bosnian exports.
Exports to Croatia totalled EUR 268.3 million, or 15.1% of all exports which totalled slightly over EUR 1.7 billion. Bosnian exports to Croatia went up 13.6% on the year.
