Speaking to Hina, Karamarko said the summit focused on "youth unemployment and measures to handle it. There was also agreement on preparations for the 2014 European Parliament election."
"I am satisfied because this was a friendly gathering and environment for the HDZ. These are similar parties," he said.
Croatia's opposition leader welcomed the unanimous adoption of the declaration, which he said contained solutions to support job creation, notably for young people.
EPP president Wilfried Martens congratulated the HDZ on the recent European Parliament election victory, describing it as valuable.
