ZAGREB, June 2
(Hina) - In 11 counties that held the election
runoffs for prefects on Sunday, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
candidates won in five counties, Croatian People's Party (HNS)
candidates were winners in two and the Social Democratic Party (SDP),
the regional Croatian Democratic Party of Slavonia and Baranja (HDSSB)
and the regional Istrian Democratic Party won one county each,
according to the results which the State Election Commission released
on Sunday evening.
