LUXEMBOURG, April 22
(Hina) - Foreign ministers of four European
Union member-states: Guido Westerwelle of Germany, Frans Timmermans of
the Netherlands, Villy Sovndal of Denmark and Erkki Tuomioja of
Finland, on Monday launched an initiative to step up the monitoring of
the application of fundamental rights and values in all EU members and
pushed for equipping the Union with tools that would enable the
correction of deviations in that respect.
