ZAGREB, April 11
(Hina) - The Croatian ministers of entrepreneurship
and the economy, Gordan Maras and Ivan Vrdoljak respectively, on
Thursday said that the aim of raising the minimum monthly salary was
to protect workers with the lowest income, and in their response to
employers' fears that this move would endanger certain jobs, the two
ministers said the government had understanding for specific business
activities whose competitiveness may by affected by wage rises, which
was why the government would offset that through easing the tax
burden.
