The average net monthly salary in January was HRK 5,529, up 1.2 per cent in nominal terms from January 2012. But given the 5.2 per cent inflation, year-on-year the net wage declined for the 11th consecutive month, by 3.8 per cent in real terms.
Year-on-year, the net wage decline in real terms was highest last September (5.3%), November (5%) and December (4.6%).
On the month, the average net salary this past month was up 0.8% in nominal and 0.7% in real terms.
