Bandic and Tsuji mentioned the planting of 20 Japanese sacura cherry trees in Zagreb's Bundek park last November to symbolically mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Croatia.
The ambassador informed the mayor that Japan would host a series of cultural events in Zagreb in June to mark that anniversary.
