"Ahead of us is a long road to economic recovery and long-lasting stability. Social dialogue is part of that road and despite occasional misunderstandings, I'm confident that we are achieving by the day a higher level of mutual respect and understanding. I hope the cooperation within the Economic and Social Council will be even better, with a common goal, to build a society without major social conflicts, one of social peace and justice," Mrsic said in his message.
He recalled that Croatia was faced with social transformation and accession to the European Union.
"The long experience and tradition of social partnership in European countries and the results achieved show that progress is neither easy nor swift, but Europe doesn't know a better way to achieve social cohesion. Social peace can be built only through patient and responsible dialogue of all of us," the ministers said.
