He told Banja Luka's Nezavisne Novine daily of Saturday that Croatian Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak told him in Zagreb on Thursday that Croatia would secure in the first half of the year half the amount for the construction, in the amount of EUR 25 million, through the European Union funds.
Cubrilovic said everything was ready for an international tender so that construction could begin in the spring and that Republika Srpska had set aside the money for that.
"We want to start the project as soon as possible, so we decided not to wait for them to secure the money but begin with the construction," he said, adding that a joint commission would meet within the month to agree on a plan of action.
