"People are just standing on the sidelines, waiting to see how the market handles both instances," said Jarral Neeper of Calcot Limited. Neeper said people probably wanted the market to remain flat until the options expiry passed and the latest USDA figures were released. December cotton went out 0.25 cent weaker at 72.27 cents per pound, traded 72.57 to 72.23 cents. Volume was estimated at 5,000 lots compared to Monday's official 4,174 lots. 061112 MET nov 96
