In the palm sector traders said the market could start to move again once Indonesia is back in the market. Indonesia's state-run marketing agency KPB, which markets all crude palm oil produced by state plantations, is expected to resume signing export contracts for November after a freeze in October owing to overselling. "I don't care which way the market goes, as long as it makes some kind of definite movement," said another trader. At the close of business crude palm oil cif Europe was $7.50 to $5 higher after Nov traded at $532.50 and $535 a tonne cif. Refined palm oil finished $5 higher with no further business reported during the afternoon. In the lauric oil sector coconut oil was $5 to $7.50 up after Oct/Nov traded at $732.50, Nov/Dec at $727.50 and Dec/Jan at $720 a tonne in mainly dealer trading. Palmkernel oil finished $2.50 to $5 higher with business reported in Oct/Nov at $692.50 a tonne. Soft oils finished lower following the lower Chicago opening. In light trading Feb/Apr soy oil fetched 91 guilders while 89 and 89.25 guilders was paid for Nov rape oil.
