The palm oils had been supported by news that Pakistan had attracted three bids for its tender for 9,000 tonnes of RBD palm oil but this was countered by other news that it had devalued its currency. At the close the palm oil sector was $2.50 above or below Monday's finish. No trade was reported during the afternoon. Coconut oil also ended $2.50 either side of its previous close but also traded at $705 for Dec/Jan material. Soy oil shrugged off losses in early Chicago soybean oil futures business to close unchanged to 0.50 guilders firmer. One trade was noted at 89 guilders for Nov/Jan.
